My name is Casey Hrynkow Shewchuk.

For 35 years, I co-owned and ran one of Canada’s most respected design firms. As my own work matured and changed over time I began to use design research and design thinking as a primary skill.

Today I work on my own, and with valued colleagues, to facilitate groups sizes from 5 to 60 at a time. I help to provide agency to people who don’t usually get to be decision makers. I to tap into their wisdom and allow them to be champions of their ideas. I have worked extensively with First Nations in British Columbia, as well as cities and universities across Western Canada. I recently presented my work on changing the way many of us see homelessness at TEDxEmilyCarr 2020.
